Animal Kingdom Park – Family Fun

We are going to explore Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World to search for some animals!

 I was successful at 8am getting Flight of Passage for 12:45. Resort guests may purchase Individual Lightning Lanes (ILL) through Genie+ at 7 am. All other guests may purchase ILL at the time that the park opens.

Animal Kingdom Park has a lot of animals such as gorillas, hippos, tortoises, and a variety of birds.

We’ve been to Animal Kingdom quite a few times, but we’re always jumping from attraction to attraction and missing out on all of the incredible animals.

We started our day at the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail. There are unique animal skulls to examine and you can look closely at pancake tortoises and several snakes. You walk through a large bird enclosure full of water fowl, nesting birds, and birds of every color of the rainbow.

You get an underwater look at the hippos. We were surprised to notice it wasn’t a large rock in front of us but a hippo!

Across from Creature Comforts (Starbucks) is a trail that gives a closer look at the Tree of Life. Our favorite animals are there too… the Galapagos Tortoise.

We head to Pandora to take advantage of our ILL at 12:45. The stand-by wait time was 175 minutes! After our ride, we exited through Windtraders and adopted our own banshee!
